School Day
Our school day is 8.45am to 3.15pm
Morning arrival and registration
The gates open at 8.40am and all children come in to school via the main blue gates.
Fledglings Class children are taken by their parents across the playground to their classroom (Terrapin).
Owlets Class children go straight to their classroom via the entrance by the school office.
Owls Class children go straight to their classroom via the back door.
Gates close at 8.50am when registration takes place. Children that arrive after the gates have closed at 8.50am should go through the main office entrance to be signed in.
Break time
Break time is 10.25 to 10.45am
All children go outside to play together.
Reception and Years 1 & 2 children receive a free piece of fruit or veg every day from the Government Fruit and Veg Scheme. Years 3 to 6 pupils bring fruit or vegetables from home.
All pupils are welcome to bring a healthy snack from home, such as fruit, vegetables or dried fruit. See our Healthy Eating Policy for more details. Children under 5 are entitled to free milk, and others may purchase milk; parents are required to sign up for this once their child has reached the age of 5 via the Coolmilk website.
Lunch time
All children have lunch between 12.15 and 1.15pm.
Children in Reception & Years 1 & 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals. Meals can be ordered from Cupcakes Catering through the Schoolcomms website. Children in Years 3 to 6 can either order and pay for meals from Cupcakes, priced at £2.60 per meal or bring in their own packed lunch. All hot meals are served and eaten in the hall. Children with sandwiches can eat outside if the weather allows it or inside in the hall. We encourage all children who bring sandwiches to adhere to our Healthy Eating Policy.
End of the day
The school day finishes at 3.15pm.
Fledglings Class children come down the back steps of their classroom to meet their parents.
Owlets Class leave via the entrance by the school office.
Owls Class children leave via the back door of their classroom and through the main gates.
Children that are staying to wrap around care are taken by their teacher to the hall.
