School Meals
From January 2025 our school meals will be supplied by Cupcakes Catering. Their menus follow the School Food Trust Guidelines and alongside this, care is taken to ensure that an appealing food service is offered to our little school customers, with a choice of menu to suit every taste.

Ordering Meals
Meals can be ordered up to a term in advance through the Schoolcomms Gateway portal. We would urge you to discuss your meal choices with your child, to prevent “I don’t like this!” situations.

How To Order School Lunches - Spring 2025
Reception / Key Stage 1 Meals
All children in England’s state funded schools in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school lunch. This lunch should be ordered as above – it will recognise your child is in Reception or KS1 and will not charge you for the meals. If however you are in receipt of any of the benefits outlined below in ‘Free School Meals In KS2’ please do let us know – by simply filling in a form the school can access further important pupil-premium funding.
KS2 Meals
Children’s meals are charged at £2.60 per day for pupils in KS2.
Free School Meals In KS2
A child is entitled to Free School meals in KS2 if parents/carers are in receipt of any of the following benefits:
- Income support
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit Child Tax Credit (provided they are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190, as assessed by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs)
- Working Tax Credit run-on – paid 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
- During the initial roll out of the benefit, Universal Credit
If you are in receipt of any of the above benefits please collect a form from the school office – this will not only allow your child access to a free school meal but also open up extra funding for the school via pupil premium funding
Packed Lunches
Children may bring a packed lunch from home. In fine weather packed lunches may be eaten outside and when wet packed lunches are eaten in the hall.
Please note that;
- Cans or bottles of fizzy pop and sweets of any sort are not allowed.
- Crisps are discouraged as are certain meat products with a high fat/salt content e.g. sausage rolls, corned beef, sausages.
- We do not allow nuts, sesame seeds or any products that contain nuts or sesame seeds as we have children in school with nut allergies.
