Welcome to Wolverton Primary School
Since 1876 education has taken place here at our school, located between the villages of Wolverton and Norton Lindsey, in a beautiful setting in the rolling Warwickshire countryside. We aim to build on this tradition whilst using the best of modern ideas and methods. In recent years we have grown in numbers while maintaining high academic standards and improving our facilities.
Children coming to our village school are fortunate in that they benefit from a happy, stimulating environment where each child is valued as an individual and nurtured in a family atmosphere. Staff, Governors and Parents all work closely together to provide an excellent start to school life.
Head’s Welcome:
I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all of you and thank you for visiting our website.
Wolverton Primary is situated in Norton Lindsey a small but lively rural village just outside Warwick and also a short drive from Stratford Upon Avon town centre.
We have four classes: Class 1(Reception), Class 2 (Year 1 and 2), Class 3 (year 3 and 4) and Class 4 (year 5 and 6). Our mixed-age class structure encourages and increases social skills and a sense of responsibility. The rural setting gives children every opportunity to take an interest in nature and the world around them.
At Wolverton Primary, we believe that every child has the potential to achieve greatness and be the best version of themselves, and it is our privilege and responsibility to nurture and support them on their journey. Our dedicated team of staff are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where each child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
I firmly believe every child should love school and it is our job to provide purposeful learning experiences which enthuse, motivate, and engage pupils in their learning. We are incredibly proud of our pupils – they are kind, compassionate, keen to learn, and enjoy being challenged.
The school is a popular choice in the village and we pride ourselves on connecting with the local community. I am committed to building positive relationships with the whole school community. I understand the important contribution to children’s achievements at school that parents and carers make, and I am committed to continually developing the relationships between the school and home for everyone’s benefit.
I hope you enjoy exploring our website and finding out more about our school and the way we work. Please do make an appointment to see the school in action; I look forward to showing you around.
Kindest regards,
Anna Rogers
Headteacher

Wolverton Primary and Safeguarding
The school works with Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Board (WSCB) to promote the safety and welfare of all of our children.
Child Protection is protecting children from identified risks which focuses on abuse at home and the wider concepts of bullying and abuse through new technologies. All staff have regular Child Protection training and the school has a designated person responsible for child protection.

OUR SESQUICENTENNIAL APPEAL - CELEBRATING 150 YEARS OF SERVICE
One hundred and fifty years ago on the 23rd of February 1875, five residents of two small rural villages in South Warwickshire held a meeting and decided that it was high time that there was a local school built to educate the children of these two communities.
Just under two years later, on the 6th of November 1876, the new Wolverton and Norton Lindsey School was opened - housed in a purpose-built building, located exactly halfway between the two villages.
Now 150 years later we have launched an appeal to build on our history and refurbish and expand our facilities.
A full calendar of events and celebrations is planned in the run up to the anniversary of our opening in November 2026. We really hope that all local villagers along with pupils, parents and staff of the school, both past and present, will help us both celebrate our heritage and look to the future!
